A swan was caught up in a line on a floating island at Ashley Cove at the lake, Jefferson Township Fire Company #2 said on Facebook. Firefighters said they were able to set the swan free without any damage to the island or to the bird.
"Although it wasn’t happy to see us approaching, we did get a wave on the way out," firefighters said.
